Wownero support has been removed from Cake Wallet. You can no longer create, restore, sync, or transact with Wownero wallets. Existing Wownero wallets still open, but only to show you their seed and keys so you can recover your funds elsewhere.
Wownero (WOW) is a Doge-inspired, CPU-mineable, privacy-respecting memecoin and a software fork of Monero.
Recovering your Wownero
If you still have a Wownero wallet in Cake Wallet, your funds are safe — they live on the Wownero network, not in the app. To access them again:
Open your Wownero wallet in Cake Wallet. It will display the wallet's seed and keys.
Write the seed down on paper, or store it somewhere safe.
Restore that seed in a wallet that still supports Wownero, such as the official wallets available from wownero.org.
NEVER share your seed with anyone, and never enter it into a website. Anyone who has your seed can take your funds.
Seed formats
For reference when restoring elsewhere: Wownero wallets created in Cake Wallet used either a 16-word Polyseed or a 25-word legacy seed. Wallets originally restored from a 14-word seed use that format instead.
